Origami Nun

27 September 2011

“How do you solve a problem like Maria?” Make an origami nun, that’s how. A great model for those committed to live a spiritual life, this origami model is simple enough for a beginner to fold.

While visiting San Francisco, I met a woman whose biological sister is a nun. This nun loves origami almost as much as she loves God. As we looked at origami books together, the woman told me that her sister helps run four orphanages. Because the nun dedicates so much of her life to serve others, her sister gives her gifts of origami books and paper so she can have something special for herself.
