Origami Gecko

29 October 2011

Check out this sweet origami lizard! Yes, his hand looks a little wonky (or like it is making a rude gesture), but that’s not the point. You can find the diagram for this origami gecko in the book The Guide to Hawaiian Style Origami by Jodi Fukumoto.

As a warning, some of the directions in the diagram may be confusing, but are describing simple folds (like an inside reverse fold). As a guide, look at the next step to see the complete fold.

The guys (men) who saw this origami gecko instantly liked it. My future brother-in-law was so in love with it that I gave him the gecko to take home. I think it would be funny to sick a gecko in the corner of a room to see if anyone notices it.
