Lang’s Origami Hummingbird

26 February 2013

In the past, I made an origami hummingbird model by Michael LaFosse. The hummingbird that you see pictured is one created by Robert J. Lang, which I folded.

Lang's Origami Hummingbird

This ruby-throated hummingbird is the one that Lang published on his site. Mine doesn’t look nearly as nice; I blame this on paper choice. I used kami (regular origami paper), while Lang used nice Origamido  paper.

You can learn to fold your own origami hummingbird using Lang’s book, Origami Design Secrets: Mathematical Methods for an Ancient Art, Second Edition.
